    Default Volvo prop

This thin stainless sleeve is cracked, and I looked at my other prop and itís missing all together. Where would I get new ones and do they just press in?

Reputable prop shop. About $100 per prop for new hub, balancing included. Good for a long time, unless you hit something.

How important is this little thin stainless bit and what does it do?

The big prop nut faces on that surface. And what it "might" mean is the hub is failing and the prop is beginning to screw itself forward toward the drive even though the hub remains in place. Like this one did.

Talked to the prop shop and they said that stainless part is just a spacer to keep the hub centered during installation, but is not necessary for operation.
