  • Relocated Wiper Motors

I've heard of other relocating their wipers motors on their older 28's. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this. Can they be moved down an inch or so? I've seen pictures of boats with them a little lower but I'm not sure where.
    Thanks for any help.

They need to be moved down about 3/8" and track for isenglass needs to be turned with the round side facing upward and moved up above the motors. This will let the track which is now in many pieces be one continuous length competely across the top frame of the windshield.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate it. I figured it was something like that.

So who exactly docks in Cape May, NJ.

I have had my boats at Bree-Zee-Lee for the past 6 years.

          Chris,

I've got a 99 28 and I'm getting ready to move the wipers down the 3/8" as suggested.

Question, Is it just a matter of measuring down from the center of the existing hole 3/8" and drilling a new hole? Then running a new track for the isenglass just above the motors?

Also, did you fill in the old holes with anything?

Thanks for your help. It's always makes me a little nervous when I start drilling in the boat.
