  • leaking steering fluid

My 2002 CC 28 has developed a steering fluid leak at the steering wheel. I have had the boat a year and apparently someone gave the wheel a slight bend, I am guessing by raising the platform to high with the seats in place. Not sure if this caused the leak or if there are seals in there that have given up. It is a real pain having to keep a towel on the deck to catch the drips, that stuff is slippery. Anyone else ever have this problem? All of the fittings I can access from the back are tight.

    leak

If you are leaking from the front portion then that seal is probably bad and can easily be replaced (If you have the sea star). There are several screws and the part is like 25$ and can be found online, google seastar steering helm unit.
