  • Engine performance differences??

I am in the process of purchasing a new 35 does anyone have the performance #s On the 450s 480s and 540s coming out of a fountain 38te with trip 250s the speed is enticing but wonder what the sacrifices would be with the various set ups.
    Till The last cast.............

Do you fish the ASA? This will be my first year fishing the ASA tournaments in a Carolina Classic 28.

    Good Luck with the 35

The "Mug" is going inboard How will you guys survive in not making to the canyons in 90 minutes I can only speak for 28. But if you haven't done it already, call Mac or Keith at the plant. They are very honest about their performance numbers and know exactly how to get these boats dialed in.

Good luck with the new rig!

          35 Performance

          Mug,

From second hand info this is the breakdown:

          The 450's cruise @ 26 Knots, WOT 30

          The 480's cruise @ 28 knots WOT 32

          The 540's cruise @ 31-32 knots WOT 35+

IMO, I would opt for the 540's and still run the boat @ 26-28 knots and not overwork the motors and save some fuel at the same time!

As said earlier, call down to Mac and ask him first hand, you will get an honest answer
