Buying boat with volvo 5.8 ------ Need Assistance!

I'm have just short listed two boats (inboards) one equiped with 1996 5.8 Fi (Ford 351 injected) the other boat equiped with 1996 Volvo 5.8 FL (Ford 351 Carb) Anyone out there have any experience with these units? I would appreciate any feedback good bad or ugly to assit in my choice or to move on and continue my search.
