  • CC25 Jackshaft Lube points

How many and where are they? I can't find anything in my paperwork on them and I know there has to be some there somewhere. Also waht type of grease is every one using?

    Grease fittings

I don't believe there are any. They are sealed joints. I know the Albe 26 jackshaft system has grease fittings

Well an Albie owner is the one who got me to looking to begin with. Is there anything to grease inside that aft bilge pocket? Seems like there would be something for the bearing. I know where all the outdrive zircs are, the Mercruiser manual covers that, but nothing for the jackshaft manual.

        Grease fittings

The volvo 290 drive has a grease fitting on the transom plate inside the boat. This fitting is for the steering mechanism. It was difficult to get to and many people never knew it even existed.

Don't forget the heat exhanger zinc and if you have the diesel, there are usually two pencil zincs.

Thanks. I have the 315 Yanmar with the Mercruiser Bravo IIIX Diesel on the back. I will be pulling the entire center section to put in sound proofing soon. Maybe that will give me better access to check out the area for grease fittings.
