7.4 Litre surging and steam(smoke)at low rpms
The recently installed remanufactured Volvo Penta 7.4 L engine with only
32 hours on it, is surging from 500 to 1800 rpm, and is also emitting
quite a bit of white smoke (steam) from the exhaust. Have installed new
MAP sensor and new muffler (collector) and checked out water flow
through system from thermostat to exhaust elbow. Temp check at
riser shows this engine exhaust at about 50 degrees higher than starboard
engine . This is a 1998 CC 28' with jackshaft drives. Welcome any
inputs on this one.
