Looking to change belts on my port engines. Has anyone done it on a 300 kamd diesel and do you use a torque wrench?

    I've changed them all and I didn't use a tourgue wrench....just the thumb-tension tester.

I have Volvos and there isn't much difference between your engines and mine. You will need to make sure your belts are at the correct tension to prevent damage to your engines. Check your manual for proper tension, usually in mm.

It takes some time but is not difficult. Just some advice. Take your time and do not miss a step. Belts are one of your inmportant lifelines on the engine. Before you install the belts, make sure you expose your belts to the sun for an hour to warm them up. It makes it easier to get the belts on that way. Good luck
