Anyone had this problem?

I have some kind of black, mold looking stuff on my sink knobs
and faucet in the head and cannot find anything to get if off.
Any suggestions?

Try a little ON/OFF. It's phosphoric and oxalic acid. Great for cleaning stained hulls also. You can find it at most marine stores. Don't leave it on too long especially on metal.

be sure to wear gloves and try not to breathe the stuff!

does a very good job removing waterstains on hull... then again, so do your bathroom "toliet bowl cleaners" and lot's less costly.
