okay guys i broke down and bought the new acme props and what a difference , new bottom paint , new trim tabs and off we go , she seems to fly ! But steering is much harder whats the answer ? New curtains are next I can't afford much more this year .2000, 28, cummins 250s , tower , gen , She is so close to being perfect and I am ready to go fishing . PLEASE HELP ! I suspect you just launched? Your steering ball swivel joints might be frozen. Try running some grease through the zerks on the end of each rudder arm where they connect to the steering rod. That ball joint is important to a smooth and easy wheel. If they don't take grease you can pop them loose to get them cleaned up and lubed.NIGHTHAWK

If it gets harder at speed but is fine slow then there are a couple other things to consider:
1. You mention new tabs. Correct adjustment of the tabs affect steering greatly. Try moving them slightly while at planing speed and you should find the right "feel".
2. Any chance the rudder position changed ie; did the rudders get disconnected for any work? The rudders are set up toe in by 5/8" on the CC28 for optimal performance. That means that the leading edge of the rudders should be 5/8" less than the trailing edge when measured. Problem is you need to be on land or use scuba to check that.NIGHTHAWK
