  • Emergency dewatering

FWIW - if you disconnect the fishbox hose and remove the fishbox the macerator pumps can move a lot of water in a hurry and allow you to get the hose wherever it needs to reach.

Something to keep in mind in an emergency

Good tip. While we are on the subject; My boat does not have any hoses. The original owner never fished and used the fish boxed for dry storage only. The pumps currently have a 2" length of hose at the suctions blanked with a plug and hose clamp. I am going to put things back to normal configuration now and am wondering what the right hose and length should be. It would seem that you want it long enough to be able to pull the boxes on deck. How much slack do you have? Do you know the hose type? Thanks, Mike
