Relay on 25'

Hi Mac,

On my 25 there is a black square relay under the helm console. It's mounted on the back side of the console and near the starboard side. It is on even when the battery switch is in the off position. I am unable to trace the wires because they disappear into a giant bundle of wires. I think it may be connected to the parallel switch on the dash. What is this relay for and should it be on when the battery switch is in the off position? I'm concerned it may be the cause of my batteries draining when the boat hasn't been run for a few weeks.

I believe it's the neutral safety relay connected to the microswitch in the throttle control. Y ou might try seein if that's it.
