  • Water heater

My 2000 CC28 doesn't have a water heater and I get tired of cold showers! Does anyone know what make / model heater the factory use or can you recommend a good alternative? Also where do the factory install them?

    Hot water heater

I have a 2003 and I have a Chronomite instant-flow. I don't know which model I have but here are two choices: S-23L-RV/MR or S-30L-RV/MR. The first is 2300 watts 110 volt 20 amp breaker the second is 3000 watts 110 volt 30 amp breaker. It's a flow thru so its small 6" by 9" by 2 1/2" Weight 6lbs. I can't tell you how it works because I never used it. Maybe this will help you have a hot shower.

        Hot water

I answered the first question because I went to my cc notebook that has specs and manuels on all installed items, but the second question "where" is tricky. I'm not sure but I think it is forward of the engines on the bulkhead. Maybe someone else will respond with a positive answer.

            Location

On my 01 28 the flow thru water heater was located in the engine room above the genny. (ceiling mounted) It worked real well and took up very liitle space.

                Location

One CC 28 at the dock has a instant hot water heater mounted under the sink on the wall. No delay in hot water.
