  • New owner on Lake Erie

Just recently purchased a 2002 28' CC and excited to get it rigged for Lake Erie walleye. Been following all the posts on CC's and after a sea run this summer in some nasty Lake Erie stuff I knew I needed to replace my 27' sportcraft with a CC.

This is a very big upgrade for me and have a lot to learn about the boat. It has 8.1 volvos with low hours. Always eager to hear advise from others. I'll need to get to a 1.5 to 3 mph troll. I used amish outfitter bags for the sportcraft.

The boat will likely spend summers near Toledo and fall near Huron. Hurry up spring.

Thanks. I think I saw your new boat at the South Shore Open House. Very nice.

I have docked at Anchor Point the past 10 years and was thinking of looking at Toledo Beach. You like docking there?

        Welcome,

We keep our boat at Toledo Beach too. Fishing was fantastic last year and should be even better in '07 (maybe slightly less fish, but better size).

Little Dandy does rack and launch and that is my plan also. The Toledo beach Marina is very nice. No problem for the big boys with water depth. Yes ,that was mine at the open house.

Welcome to the Lake Erie Club

It is nice to see that there is a new member. I own a 25' with the Crusader 8.1. I am proud to say that it is the nicest boat of its size and class that I have been on. I kept the boat in Vermilion in 2006. Not sure if we will stay there or move over to Huron. Hope to see you out there.
