  • Great Site - Just Found It!

I have a 2001 CC28 with Cummins 330Bs. An owner's forum was long overdue thanks for organizing it!!

It is great to see that Mac stops in and answers questions. As others have already said, he is generous with his time and knowledge almost to a fault . . .

These boats are built like and tanks and tend to raise a fish or two . . .

    Tight lines . . .

    Welcome Tswann

This site is growing and starting to have lots of good info. I almost bought a 28 with the 330 cummins. I bet it is a rocket.

That is one nice tuna you have posted.
Life is to short for an ugly boat

Per #'s for the dual 330's

out of curiousity what's your cruise and WOT #'s for the 330's - that boat must fly!

I cruise the boat, when conditions permit, at 2350 rpms. Fully loaded for offshore in moderate sea conditions I'll see 26.5 - 27 knots all day long . . .

Rated WOT is 2800 (I actually top out at ~2875 fully loaded) and I see 34/35 knots - obviously in calm water.

If only my knees and back could handle what the boat can!!

I could not be happier with the 330Bs. They are bullet proof and in the 28 they are not working all that hard.

                nice numbers

                85% throttle/27 knots - that's great.

How are you geared and propped to get that speed at those RPM's -1:1 gear or some higher reduction ratio?
