  • Carolina Classic rod holders

Just curious, is anyone having trouble with the pins breaking free from the bottom of their "Carolina Classic" rod holders? I noticed Mac changed back to Lee's and was wondering if this has been a widespread problem. I have 10 flush mounted rod holders and in 2- 1/2 seasons have managed to bust out 4 pins. This seems impossible but is true. Hope I just received a bad batch and everone else is problem free.

When they do break, I just thread in a 1/4 20 x 2-1/2" bolt with nylon lock nut and voila, problem fixed!!

Just a minor complaint, but had to vent

          rod holders

I yanked all the flushmounts and went to a track system. Mount down riggers, rod holders that move, tackle holders, drink holders and tool holders to the tracks. Can pull it all off for storage in 5-10 minutes. Berts or Pursuit both make great tracks, but Pursuit has a better holder.
