During the cleaning of the bilge on my 1996 25 CC the pump was moved. The discharge hose spit open and upon inspection was found to be rotted for about a foot from the pump. I would advise anyone having the hard cloth/rubber lines to inspect theirs. I'm replacing it with a heavy duty plastic line similar to what was used for the drain on the bait well. I guess the use of bilge cleaners and oil there caused the deterioration of the hose. The hose used probably wasn't the type to be exposed to oil etc. as it's basically a water line type hose.
I guess I need to check the front pump hose also. It might be interesting trying to replace it.
