  • Transom angle

I've just bought a Lowrance LCX17M fishfinder / plotter for the upper station which has a transom mounted transducer. To set up the transducer correctly I need to know the transom angle (I presume this means the angle from vertical), does anyone have this information please?

A 28 is 24 deg but from horizontal not vertical

I don't think it's the Deadrise that they're referring to. The transducer has adjusters to make sure that it points directly downwards when screwed to the transom so I think that I need to know whether the transom is at 90 degrees to the water or if it is angled slightly forwards or backwards.
