  • Are you satisfied with your CC Dealer?

No one wants to say or hear negative things about people or company's that do business with people; so don't post it, call someone who cares, Mac or your dealer...

I am not going to allow this turn into a Dealer bashing thread. If you have a problem, work it out with your dealer or talk to Mac directly to get it resolved. Not on a public forum.

Why did you take delivery without having this stuff checked out?

Sorry for the disconcerting post. No malintent on my part just trying to be treated fairly by reaching for leverage any way I can. I own my own business and I take responsiblity for my customers regardless of who ends up with my product and I don't make them ask twice! I work hard and just want to use my boat, my brand new boat. I have fixed all the problems with my boat even though Mac didn't answer my post on the fuel tank issue and my dealer didn't return my emails or follow-up.

I understand where you are coming from. I own my own business also and treat my customers the same way you do. Mac is usually very busey and does'nt have much time to respond on the forum. If however you were to call him, you would get a call back within 24 hrs if he could'nt take your call at that time.

I'm glad you worked out your issues with the new boat. As good as they are, there are still some small things that need to be worked out as with any new boat.

Good luck with it and post up some pics. We would love to see it.

I don't understand why you are against anyone expressing their dissatisfaction with the way they been treated by the dealer or who ever in regards to the problems that they are having with their CC. I would think that this site is a good place to express their experiences good or bad to keep everyone informed about the way they been treated by the dealer or the factory. I for one would like to know whom I should not be dealing with or who treated the customer well. If you do the right thing you have nothing to hide. Why would you not want to know how people are treated when they purchased there boat. It keeps the dealers on the up and up. It gives them a reason to treat the customer the right way.

Posting about problems with dealers or the manufactures should only occur after you have exhausted all avenues by direct contact with them. The forum isn't the place to address issues expecting the manufacturer to respond back.

I myself can say nothing but good about Mac and Keith. They have gone out of their way in assisting me with my installation of a new Crusader 8.1l in my 96 CC25. I couldn't ask for any better. I don't think I have ever had any better communications from a manufacturer.

I can't say the same for the dealer that sold it to me though. It was a used boat with the engine. I'm still trying to get the Title straight but I won't name the dealer as I'm sure my direct communication with them will resolve the problem.

It does'nt work for several reasons.

There are 2 sides to every story and only 1 side would be discussed and most likely important facts will be left out to sway the story in one direction. I have seen this happen time and again on other forums. There is no way that a dealer or manufacturer will ever discuss a problem on an open forum and I think it is totally unfair to bash someone in this manner.

There is also the legal issues. If something is said that is not 100% true, it will come back and bite you. I have heard of a few cases of lawsuits over this.

If someone is getting bad service from a dealer, I have no problem with them posting this for discussion as long as it is done in a respectable manner. We all want to here the good and bad so we can make an informed decision but if you start airing your dirty laundry, I will delete the post.

It's also funny how very few people post up about a good experience with a dealer, only the bad one's

IMO, this board is an extremely valuable tool for CC owners & such. That being said, any information, good or bad, can & should be discussed. Most importantly, discussed in an appropriate way as not to offend or harm others.

So, lets here some stories about our dealer & factory support.

BTW, my local dealer just turned down an offer I had made him on his in stock 2005 32, and I am now looking outside my area for a 32.

                      Helpful parts people

I posted this earlier looking for help on inaccurate fuel guages. The help I got was outstanding from this company, so they need a pat on the back.

ONE WORD OF PRAISE FOR CUMMINS ATLANTIC ! I needed a water pump backing plate for my Onan generator and could not find it at the local dealers as they don't carry parts in stock. I was advised to contact Cummins Atlantic and the lady was very helpful, but she also had to order it from the factory. It was now 4:15 pm on Monday and the Holidays are coming. They have a program called "DOWN BOAT" and I had the parts in my hand by 9:20 the next morning (Tuesday). May cost a little more but you can get the parts. THANKS CUMMINS ATLANTIC!
