  • Proud new PaPa of 05' 28CC w/KAMD 300's

    Hey guys,

I'm hoping to pick up any good info from some of you experienced CC owners. Looking for some ideas on electronics as the dash is not condusive for a big screen setup. Also where to mount on 2nd station.
Any tips on rigging would also be of help.
I've been wanting a 28 for a long time and finally saved enough pennies. I am not a very experienced off shore fisher, but hoping to be, so any of you guys who are close to me, I would love to have you aboard for a trip or two to show me some of the ropes with this boat. I had an Albermarle 27 and took it off shore a Few times with some success. I finally got tired of all of the gasoline engine related problems so i sold it and bought A Glacier Bey 26' cat with twin 140 suzuki's. Very nice boat but not enough room and did'nt like the way it handled in heavy beam seas. I do allot of bay fishing but I would like to be doing more off shore, at least 10-15 times a year, so any input on equipment, electronics, rigging, etc.. will be most appreciated. Boat has most all factory options including Lee pro series outriggers.
Hoping to have this boat ready by mid-June or so and keep it at Rudee Inlet through late July. Looking forward to seeing you guys out there.

      CC 28 Helm Layout

I've also got KAMD 300's on my 04 CC 28. I went with Raymarine electronics. Mac did the install for me.

Thanks for the pics guys, both look like excellent ideas, i wish i would have had Mac do the install now since it looks like some of the dash instruments need to be moved around, but I was'nt sure of what electronics I was going to use at first. I'm leaning towards the set-up with the Garmin if I can make it work. I have an excellent electronics man close to me and he will do the install next week and i'll forward pics soon after. Also need some ideas on the upper station. Got any?? Thanks again.
