Airmar R199

I did a thread search and it seems some of you have installed these monster in-hull units. I am a bit tempted by the idea. Has anyone fitted one in a 28? Will the tank fit between the stringers or in some other reasonable location? Does the performance knock your socks off or is it just plain overkill?

I don't have the R199 but I have the simrad combi-c. Ask CClassic28 if it will fit. He has one in his 32 and can tell you the size.

And Yes they will knock your socks off but remember that you need the display to back it up
