  • 28 Profile for Screen Printing On T-Shirt

I am looking for an artist rendition of a 28 with tower running, fishing, etc. to do a screen print job for some T-Shirts with the name of my boat on them. Any ideas? I see the profile of the 28 on the classic website, but looking for a little more action. Any help greatly appreciatted.

    Profile

Owner's manual has some profile line drawings but the website one would be better on a shirt IMO.

I would also like to see what others have used for t-shirts. Attached is a profile of my 28 ' that is rigged for freshwater fishing on Lake Erie. I am not an artist, actually an engineer, I traced a photo in cad and then used corel.

Trust you'll share what you find as I am also interested. I'll do the same.
            Thanks.

                Dave - I really

like that particular perspective. My tower design is a bit different than yours. Remind me what was involved in having that done (cost & method).

                  Hey Steve,

The graphic came from John Baker jr. He did some engraving on the sideplate of a 20T Penn International I had blueprinted and 2-speeded with new bearings and sleeve and a topless frame. After the engraving (it's actually lazer etched, I think) he asked me if I wanted the graphic for shirts/hats or whatever. He and his father are machinists by trade out in Redlands. If you remember where my old slip was they have the GAVIOTA right across from there. Have the old man show you the side scanning sonar he put on the boat. Pretty amazing.

I don't even want to think how much money I got in that reel. The engraving alone was a couple hundred bucks.

It is great to see what other owners have dreamed up for their shirts. I have a lot of fun messing around with this and have done two different designs for our 28. The first is done as sort of a tongue in cheek take on crew's shirts from various yachts. The side view sketch seems popular among yachts.

The second was inspired by sportfishing shirts I have seen around, with the enormous fish, the tequila sunrise colors, the boat running on plane. I find this one particularly funny because (maybe I shouldn't admit this on these boards) we don't fish our 28 at all.

Sorry for the small images. For some reason I am having a mental blank about how to trim images down to fit the file size requirements.
