2002 28 pre-purchase issues

Any issues with the 02 versions of 28 CC I should look for. Have entered a purchase agreement for one in MoreHead City, Survey scheduled for next week, all goes well she's mine.

ask for the engine maintenance records as well as any warranty issues that occured.

The boat is not where you are going to find issues; 5 year old engines should have had some records of both constant service as well as preventative maintenance. If they haven't its not necessarily a sign something is wrong; just an indication to take a closer look at pumps, belts, hoses, coolers, etc.

The boat has only 550 hours. I have experience with the Volvo Diesels and the minor issues, as well as the oil pan corrosion issue. Some records do exist (presented) of reg service. I am not familiar with the Carolina's, only fished them on days with others when I new a more suitable ride would be appropriate. I am seeking input from those with experience with the 2002 Carlina Classics. Don't want to overlook a major issue for lack of knowledge and or desire to get back on the water. Hopefully I have hired a very knowledgable surveyer (Eberle).
