Which ones are the best. I have the roller trollers on mine and when it gets rough you have to watch them because they get tangled. I'm thinking of changing them and putting on the rupp knockouts for my short rigger and maybe just plain zip clips for the longrigger since I just troll feathers and ballyhoo on the longs and spreaders on the shorts, any opinions.

if you are having problem with the roller trollers getting tangled you probably have them rigged with coastlocks attaching to the bar with holes in each end, cut the bar off, then the ring, all you will be left with is the clip with a hole in the plastic, run your line thru the hole and you will find it will be angled the proper way and no tangles whatsoever. this is a common problem.
if you have a problem with the newer style with the plastic slide clips not adjusting tension, let me know and i will hook you up wityh my buddy at aftco to get you some correct replacements, they had a materials problem in manafacturing that made the tension adjustor not limber enough to release at a lighter pressure.

split, read what happened to aftco when their plastic component manafacturer changed the compostion of their clips, they made them too stiff. the new clips work fine as long as you get the ones that have been made with the proper amount of strengthening product. once again, have faith as aftco is a top notch company. i live to kill fish and will let nothing stand in my way of it. aftco clips will always be a standard on the boat i fish.
