New bottom paint, hull waxed, new filters, fresh oil. Can't wait to go offshore. I love the smell of diesel in the morning.

PC,
Happy to hear you're in. Cardinal is putting the finishing touches on Spool's Out (new drippless and a little carb work) and we should be in this weekend. Hopefully we can get out a few more times this year. I owe you some pictures. Did Chris ever give you any lures? Chuck

Spools Out
Thanks. Waiting for that warm water. Last year went out memorial day and I could only run 2 lines because too many multiple hookups. It was catch and release but it was still alot of fun. Chris never gave me any of your lures, I'll ask him. I need all the help I can get.
Bullish
Forecast does look good but still have to put on my outriggers and get everything on the boat. Also too cold for me. brrr28 Carolina Classic 2003 (sold)

Congrats, I splashed the Kimbie II today as well. Had the bottom sandblasted in the fall, so I put on 3 coats of Pettit's 4700 barrier coat, one coat of hard anti fouling and 2 coats of Ultima ablative. Got to know the bottom pretty well after painting it 6 times. Also put on new dripless bearings and raised the engine on the isolators by lifting the engines, redrilling the engine mounts and putting them back in this winter. All set to go - the sides are waxed - just have to clean up the topsides before we put the lines in next week-end.Capt. B

Capt B,
I feel your pain. We did the bottom last year. down to the glass then 4 coats of interprotect and 3 coats of paint. It was great this year just a few touch ups and the waterline. Let me know if you see a noticable performance increase. We did but since we had also rebuilt the engines we couldn't tell how much was because of the bottom. Good luck this season..
