  • New 25' CC just arrived

My brand new 2007 25' w/315 Yanmar inboard just arrived. The dealer, Dave Bofill, and the salesman, Todd Kerstetter, did an excellent job of communicating all the little details that I wanted changed for my own personal preferences. Among the changes are re-located running lights (moved to the hardtop) and a mechanical trolling valve. I've owned a number of boats, from Cabo's to Regulators, and have never, repeat never, had a better experience with the purchase of a new boat. Mac located the instrument cluster to the left of the dash, so that I can fit a 10" Furuno VX2. I'm also adding a 7" VX2 on the right panel and a Simrad AP-25 Autopilot on the left. I've noted on the forum that most CC's come equipped with Separ filters, but mine came through with a Racor, I don't know why. Anyway, between the radar, autopilot, GPS, Airmar M-260, Floscan, and VHF, there's a whole lot of prep work to be done. I'll be running the boat on the south shore of Long Island through Fire Island and Moriches, and look forward to sharing CC and fishing info with all of you. I was going to name the boat Seamoor, but that will probably change by the time I launch.
Thanks to everyone on the forum and especially to Mac and Keith.

    Dave,

Congrats on the new rig. Glad to here that you had a pleasant experience with the guys over at Dave Bofill. Hope to here more positive comments about their sales staff from other LI'ers. Mac has switched back to Racor fuel filtration I beleive due to the high cost and inaccessability of the Separ filters and parts. BTW, I keep my rig in Lindenhurst and run out of FI. Hope to see you out there this season.

Congatulations on the new boat. The waiting to get it in the water will kill you! Mine is resting at the dealership. I hope to tow it home next weekend so I can sit in it and make motor boat sounds till the ice goes away and I can get my sea trial done. Good Luck. Rick H

I know what you mean, Rick. I like to drive behind beat up diesel trucks, just to catch the fumes. Serious counseling is clearly indicated here.
