Tuna Time out of southport

Hello everyone,
I havent posted in a while, been on the boat alot havent had a chance ... but to the point im ganna run out of southport inlet our lockwood folley tuesday morning heading for the blackjack hole its a long run and i was just wondering if anyone else is going to be running that direction tuesday .. if so give me a shout i would love to run with someone bc we pass everyone else and i think a cc is the only thing that can keep up

How far

do you guys have to go this time of year for tuna?

The Gulf Stream Currents run anywhere from 45 miles to 60 miles out. It is suprising how much it can move. The drop is about 50 miles out. Our yellowfin season will start to heat up in a few more weeks. Just now putting the finishing touches on everything.
Trying something different this year. Bought a case of flying fish from BaitMasters in Florida. Anyone ever fished/rigged them. Should be interesting.

Lockwood Folly

I run out of Lockwood as well. Hopefully in the spring I'll have the new boat ready. I'll send a messege your way when I plan on going. Nothing like having a few friends to help work the break. Let me know when you all are planning on starting in the spring. Thanks.

Were in Wrightsville

Went to the stream yesterday. Got a late start (7am) but it was fun. Only managed a Wahoo about 50#. One boat had a couple of yellow fellers, but I was not holding my mouth right or something. Got to learn better .

As for Classics around, there are 3 28's on my dock at Bradley Creek, 2 -32 and a couple of 35 at the marina. My boat came from Southport, used to be Gal- E-Nipper. Never met the owner as it was purchased from a broker, like to know the history if you know anything about the boat, either good or bad. Email me [email protected]

I heard of 4 fish killed at the knuckle bouy this morning. Hopefully they will be
here this weekend. Becouse i have the urge to get one science we lost one last weekend after he took out 600 yards in 15 seconds then snap...

Is anyone ganna go out of lockwood folley this weekend??..
If so it look to me like sunday will be the right day 2-4ft with a 10-15 knt n wind... it should be pretty out till about 10 miles then it may get a little bumpy after that (nothing a cc cant handle)..
BUT it also looks like there will only be about a 5-6 hour window befor that ssw wind comes back and gets baddd...
