Just a quick post if there are any others that like looking for snags off Jersey. The water seems to have cooled just enough that the inshore wrecks are starting to produce a little better. I took a pair of 9-year olds and my Dad to a wreck in 85 feet today. The youngins starting to turn green so we had to cut the trip short but we slung in a few nice 16 inch sea bass and average size blackfish before pulling the hook. Tastiest fish I know.
Question: What do you do when you are anchored on a clear day and a container ship is heading for you?
Answer: Pull the hook and get out of the way.
They were so close I think I saw them smile.
