I am leaving the dock around 11 am on Thursday and I am thinking Hudson. I'll call around for some reports tomorrow night before deciding which canyon. Are you going if the forecast holds up?

Spencer Canyon
The adventure began upon arrival at the Spencer around 4pm when I noticed I was dragging a rope from under the boat. I put the swimsuit on with mask and snorkel and went for a dip. Fortunately, it was only wrapped around the starboard shaft a few times and I got it free with only two dives.
We went 3 for 6 on yft during the night and in the morning we decided to keep chunking until 8:30 instead of trolling which produced one run-off at 8:00 that broke off.
We decide to head for home but the port side engine is blowing heavy black smoke and won't get over 2000 rpms and the boat won't plane. Upon inspection, I find the problem on the top-right of the engine. There is a short (4 inch long and roughly 4 inch diameter) rubber air hose/connection as part of the air flow. It had a large gash in it and therefore, the air feeding the engine did not have the pressure it needed. We decided to duct tape the **** out of it and place a hose clamp around the middle of it over the tape for added support. It held up for the 82 mile ride home. I meant to take a pictures as I thought you would enjoy this magiverism.
This is probably a cheap part so others with the KAD, KAMD Volvo series engines might want to get a spare. My boat only has 410 hours. This part is easy to recognize as it bulges when the engines are running due to the air pressure inside.
Check out this sunset. I've never seen anything like it.Bullish
