Longfin in the spencer and lindy

Did a day troll Sunday 8/19 at the spencer went 4for5 on longfin. Had fish early 2 mile inshore of the tip. Left the fleet in search of yellowfin/billfish ended up in the lindy where there was a hot bite in the morning and steady pick after that but could not catch another fish. Another great day on the water. Boat ran great, only problem wiper wouldn't turn off, guess need new switch.

We had a nice trip. Stopped 6 miles short had them on early. the fifth fish I tried to gaff and popped the hook. It was my first time I lost a fish gaffing, and I was laughing only because we had 4 in the box. I didn't stick around because I didn't want anymore longfin so I went north up the 100 line dreaming of big eye and hearing reports of yellowfin in the lindy. I had Taildancer(35cc) next to me going to the lindy.Last I heard he had 2 nice yellows in the lindy I couldnt buy a bite. I left at 1:30 because it was getting uncomfortable trolling but the ride home wasn't that bad. I did 21knt average. Thank god I wasn't in my old 26 hydrasport. I went thru the rain that wasn't forecasted

I read your post and was wondering how long it took to recover from the smoke in the engine room. I would of needed a shot after that. I had just bought one of those hydroglows I should of gave it to you for that trip. You had a good trip. No sword?
