  • Canyon bound, 8/12

I'm running, probably 500 fathoms between the Dip & Hudson. Anyone else??

I cancelled at the dock last Saturday & turned around about 30 miles off on Sunday as I was afraid that NOAA was going to screw up the forcast & the 5' on my rear on the way out was going to turn into something more for the ride home... I should have kept going...

Now, I'm ready, so Sunday it is...

I'm shooting for Tues into Wed as long as the weather holds. Not sure where yet.

      Sunday

was evil at 60 fathoms and below; but got reasonable once we got inside 200' on the way home.

      Good fishing though....

Hey Chris - 2 days at the mothership on the L.I.E. in Islandia for me this week - how far is that from your dock ?

Weather permitting I'm going Sunday or Monday. I'll try the Northern canyons this time . Carteret or the lindy.

            My report

Went to the Wilmington down the east wall up the 100 line to the tip of the spencer. Beautiful day. Boat ran great.

Yes. I didn't have any chlorophill shots but the water looked nice and blue. I saw fish caught at the elbow in the wilmington and the west wall of the spencer. I wouldn't say it was a slow tuna day it was a bad day for the Petty Cash. Total frustration set in when at the end of the day had a white in the spread stabbing my bally, dropped the bait back felt him running then put it in strike nothing. He came back 3 times, same routine and nothing. All in all nice day on the water will try again next week.
