I don't have access to any clorophyll charts. I expected the Hudson to have a crowd of boats so I went to the Toms. We went out in 2-4 seas and came home in healthy 3-5 and then 4-6 for the last 40 miles. It was blowing 15-20 for those last 40 miles.

I heard on the radio a couple of guys picking one or two yft in the Hudson around the Bombs.

We went 0 for 1 on a White and 0 for 1 on a mystery fish. I talked to another guy that got skunked in the Toms too. A very slow day with a nice beating on the way home.

Boat ran great except for the compressor clutches on my KAMD 44ps which are wearing out again (replaced them last August). I will replace with new clutches over the winter and add the Acme props. Maybe the Acme props will take some stress off of the compressors when getting the boat out of the hole.

Petty Cash- I was able to maintain 19 knots in 4-6 but only because I was in the trough and I had tabs almost all the way down. 19 knots is my minimum for keeping her on plane with the compressors off so I really push for that speed. That's about 2950 rpms for me.

I would still launch off of the top of a wave every 1/2 mile or so which causes my props to feel a loss of restriction (because they are out of water) and my Volvo KAMD 44p's cut back when that happens. Then the compressors kick back on to help her get up on plane again. Probably another reason why I am burning through compressor clutches. We took a lot of spray over the bow but the boat never hit hard once always a nice re-entry. Crew not thrilled with my submarine style....apprarently I have some leaky eisenglass on my port side.

If I had to come home in a 4-6 head sea...maybe I would do 13 knots.
