Canyon 7/22?

I really can't hold out much longer for my first canyon trip but there seems to be little or no tuna in the canyons. If the forecast is good for Sunday I am thinking of making a trip for tiles and keeping my eyes open for tuna. Anyone else thinking of running out from the hudson to wilimington this weekend? Have you heard anything good?

I have heard of a somewhat productive bluefin run around the "cigar" with some well over 100lbs. Not much activity in the canyons yet with yellowfin. It seems the bait is closer to shore now so it might not be the right time to head out unless you want to head to the baltimore or something.

I'm sure in the next couple of weeks a nice eddy will push it's way to the wilmington or hudson. It usually doesn't fail in early August.

I hope something does push in the next couple of weeks. I'm not going offshore this weekend with this forecast. North/northeast blow usually equals close together and steep.

Change of plans. I just got a reliable report of schoolie bluefin caught today at the South Barnegat Ridge. I'll give that a shot tomorrow. I'll be on 68 if anyone else is out tomorrow.
