With no strong reports at the canyon, I decided to take the kids to the beach tomorrow. The bluefin action off of Cape May seems to be on fire. I may have to make the long run South to those lumps next weekend.

          My first shark!

Got my new CC25 in early May. Today was the first chance I had to get offshore with it. Went 25 miles due south of Montauk. Seas were 2-3. Water temp was 67. Drifted with chum and bunker for a few hours but no luck. Moved north to 10 miles off Montauk, did same thing. As we were getting ready to head in...bam. Fought the fish for about 20 min of so. turned out to be a 6 -7 blue. Was hoping for Mako, but the fight was fun.
