fished the poormans canyon got there before sun up saturday morning and set the spread 2 minutes later we had a triple header of 40-50lb yellowfin, continued south hit a few in 40fth of the so. poormans. came back later in the day when tom of salty susan called us in, from then on the rods were loading up. ended up landing 12 fish and releasing a few small but legal yellowfin. hot bait of the day was illander/bally combo (any color) and jets with the meat trailing. 2 trips in 2 weeks 15 yellowfin accounted for. lucky strike hasnt seen the bluewater this season yet, but jackie with us onboard has been putting meat in the freezer, its starting boys.
