Thought I would share a great day fishing for those who can't fish right now.

Fished up at GT Hole off the coast of SC. It was a beautilul day and the ocean was perfect. First fish in the boat was a small blackfin. Decided to push out deeper when no more tuna were in sight and bam the dolphin showed up. It was like fishing from a barrell It did not matter what we put out in the spread the dolphin seemed to like it. We were looking for that ever elusive Wahoo and yellowfin for the meatfish slam but we couldn't get away from the dolphin. It's almost like they were following the boat or somthing. It seems this was the case for alot of boats. Last fish of the day right as we were going to pack it up and head for home Mr. Wahoo shows up for a treat. It was a great day on the ocean in the new boat.

    Ended the day with
14 Gaffer size dolphin (17 were released)
    1 blackfin tuna
    1 Wahoo 45 lbs

        blood

only a mahi can completely trash a cockpit like that. Side to side; front to back. The bugger got free and went wild?

looks like our day on the jolly man, 25 classic we took out onsaturday, ended up with 3 mahi gaffers, one nice wahoo a tad smaller, and a few pulled off fish and 15 short strikes on the planer rod. we lost several really good fish due to short strikes and 1 billfish that demolished my carrot bait (mullet split-tailed,double rigged, and sewn) he made the rod tip jump twice and when i was dropping it back he boiled on the bait and then he disappeared. why is it when a billfish crushhes a bait after a few swats it isn't fit to eat? he folded it in half and jacked it up so bad the tail was hooked on the lead hook and had some major dents in the body.

I made a mistake in the heading we fished 5-12-07. That's what sleep deprivation will do to you.

                Only problem with that pic

is that you guys are way too clean!!

Excellent way to dirty up a beautiful boat.
