I plan to install XM radio but I'm not sure as to the beast location for the antenna and how to route the antenna wire.

I just mounted a Garmin 4212 on my 28 and I used the radio box for all the components. Then it is shut and everything is out of the way. The new Garmin antennas (GPS and XM) are mounted on the front of the tower radio box and then the wires are dropped down to the cabin radio box. Works great and they are out of the way."Addison Leigh"

i have a 2005 28 and i added xm using the stock radio that was xm ready. my electonics man installed the xm unit with the antenna inside the cabinet below but i kept getting interference from the tower so i re-routed the xm antenna out thru the cabinet down the port side shelf all the way to the bow then put some velcro on the back of the little black antenna and stuck it to the rug where it doesn't move at all. the xm signal now doesn't get affected by the tower and its mainly fiberglas where the antenna is so no interference. so far its working find. i wasn't interested in putting another antenna on my tower so this works and all the wires are concealedunder or in the seem of the rug. hope this helps. bmgbilly
