Great post, I have been looking at removing the port seat and installing an ice chest 48"-60" long to double as a seat/ fish box. Frigibar makes some great products but $$$. Current plan is to lay up a box using a liner from a discarded ice chest over the x-mas break.

Look on Boattrader or yachtworld and you'll usually see a couple of boats with the ice chest. It does look good!

Deisel: did you complete your project over Christmas? Would love to see photos of how you set this up.
Will the fish box serve as two seats? One forward and one looking back while trolling or?

I do like the boxes you linked to.. but yes, they are pricey... ouch. johnd
