Weather permitting I am planning an overnight run to the edge. It has been 2 weeks since my last tuna run & I am going thru withdrawals!! Hoping the weather will cooperate as I am off to Kodiac Alaska on Thursday 9/7 for some Halibut & Salmon fishing. Would love to get a run in before my Alaskan adventure begins!!

Anyone else running? I have room for one more (3 men confirmed as of now) If anyone has Tuesday off and wants to fish give me a shout. I dock my boat in Lindenhurst, L.I. and run out of Fire Island inlet.

just a head's up freinds went 9/4/06 worked the notch and the east elbow in the weeds 25 lf to 50 and 2yf to 65 noha was not on with their forcast could not fit any more fish left back to jones 4.5 hours 15 to 19 knots

Started on the troll @ the notch on the east side of the Hudson @ 4:15. Trolled thru the weeds down to the elbow & began back up in the flats. @ 6:30 1 rod, then 3, then 5, then 7, then 9 go down. 9 on and 3 men on the boat. We managed to go 7-9 with 6 yellows to 80# and 1 skippy (shark bait!!) Set up for the night, managed 1 yellow @ 50# for the night, trolled for 2 hrs in the morning, all skippys and 1 25-30 bull mahi. Ran home with 7 yellows & 1 mahi in flat glass conditions. Pics when I return from Alaska.
