C-Map versus Navionics

Looking for opinions on C-Map versus Navionics. I have been using navionics in the past but I am getting a navnet for my new CC28 and have been told that the cmap max is the way to go. Looking for pros and cons.

No experience with Nav system... have newer CMAP and it is greatly improved over charts of just 6 years ago. jd

I have two Furuno NavNet VX2 10.4” on my 28 with Navionics Gold. Very bad experience. Furuno has admitted the software has a bug and cannot read Navionics Gold in full details. I am waiting for software upgrade since November last year. I am about to take legal action. Suggest you test it very well before purchasing.

The Navionics chips are all crap. I have used them for the last time. Take your Furuno NavNet VX2 and send it in to Furuno and they will change it out at no charge to CMAP-NT. The Cmap charts have always been much-o superior to Navionics. Although, Garmin Blue Charts blow them both away. Go for the CMAP you will not be disappointed.
