Bullish

Offshore forecast looks good for this Saturday. After a disapointing weekend at the Fingers last weekend, I'm going deeper this Saturday. Probably to the Glory hole for Mr. Mako or the canyons for a day troll and to drift for Tiles. Anyone else going to a canyon from the Wilmington to the Hudson this weekend?

Change of plans. The offshore forecast is 3-7 with 15-25 knots out of the northeast. I'll be off the beach following the schools of bunker just north of barnegat inlet, nj. My uncle was out there today and saw a thresher shark busting through the bunker just a few hundred yards from the beach. I'll snag some bunker and try to catch a few bass.....but the shark rig will be ready. channel 68.

I'm planning on heading offshore on Sunday for some tuna and shark action. I have heard reports of some consistent mako and tuna action from the cigar to the elephants trunk. It's the first offshore trip of the season so I am really looking forward to it.

Went out yesterday to the HA buoy after 2 hours of fighting with the fish we managed to get a 300lb+ thresher shark at the boat and another 30 mins to get it in thhe boat.

I stayed inshore. Snagged some bunker and tried for a bass with no luck...slammers everywhere. Sounds like the offshore weather wasn't so bad.
Great shark. Any pics?
