I have'nt heard about any fish. Have you been doing any fiishing at the canyons the past few months?

our weather has been abysmal since.

I think I did 21 or 22 offshore trips this year; 9 to the canyons of which 6 were day trips; 3 were overnights.

Slow year for tuna; a slow pick on each trip; hot year for marlin - we were 0 for 5 on blues (!!!!!) and 3 for ~10 on whites.

1 200# mako and we tagged another one of the same size and released a 3rd which made the decision for us.

The inshore bluefin bite was stupid - I had 3 trips with more than 30 bluefin hooked; all were in the 20-35# range; after the 3rd we avoided them!

Good year because of the marlin but we never encountered a wide open canyon chunk bite; probably because we didn't fish Oct!
