The report as of today looks pretty good so far. I heard several reports so far this week of mahi and lonfin up to 50lbs being taken from the west wall. I notice some nice temp breaks on the charts today also. Any recent report sounds like an early am bite. We might start the troll at the texas tower Sat at around 6:30 am.

last Friday we trolled from the Dump down to Atlantis for 1 mahi and 10 seconds of intersection with a blue marlin. The word on the radio was a very slow bite in Atlantis & Veatches.

On Sunday we went east, east - past Nantucket and went 2 for 4 on 150# bluefin.

Thursday is bet the farm day - w/ the D4's giving me a solid 1.3 nmiles/gallon we'll be running 100 miles directly to 1000 fathoms and spending the day with a marlin spread wishing to raise another blue.

I have to say after 9 trips and 210 hr's on the new engines that if the boat raised fish before; its unbelievable now!

Awesome report, On our first trip offshore with the 2005 28 Albe we boated a 284 mako that won 15k plus in a local tournament. Now it's time to get some tuna blood on the deck

So far I plan on going to the Hudson. Seems to be some good temp breaks. Not sure which day yet. Depends on the weather.

Lets keep this updated so we can talk to each other on the water.

I am on 71. SPLIT DECISION

I think Chris is also planning on going. Chris, what is your boat name and channel?

Looks like I will be going early sunday morning . I hope to leave the dock by 2 am. This works better for my crew.

Let me know if anyone else will be out at the hudson.

We are going to head out on Sunday now instead of Saturday. The report for friday night looks crappy. So hopefully things will settle down on Saturday and by Sunday morning be really good. We will probably leave the dock around 3:30am which means we will start trolling offshore around 6:45.

Tom,

I will be leaving my dock on Saturday @ 1PM and will be staying the night @ Hudson, probably on the 050 line on the east side. I will talk to you on Sunday. I monitor 65 & 78 on the VHF. Give me a shout when you are in range and I'll give you a report.

I think I'm going back to Atlantis on Sunday for a day trip - but this was yesterday's high light - 2 on at once; one to the boat.

You guys are getting me excited. I have to take the girls out fluke fishing on Saturday.
We will be trolling from the tower to the Hudson tip Sunday morning @ around 6 -6:45 am. Sea's look flat so we should be able to make some great time. I might try to get there even earlier if we can get the crew to the boat at 2am.
I need to buy a sattelite phone, any recommendations on which to get? Service provider? etc. If all of us had sat phones could we call eachother from the canyon?

We will be on 68 but if we get into fish I will call you guys on the channels that you listed.

Best of Luck to all, Lets get some TUNA........

We trolled for about 6 hours on Sunday morning and were able to boat 2 longfin between the Hudson tip and the bombs. Lots of life, heard a few boats with some yellowfin.

Went 2 for 4 on longfin Saturday evening trolling, and 6 for 6 on yellows to 70# on the chunk overnight. Beautiful night and some good fishing!! Can't ask for more.
