Last time out on the 28, the seas were rough enough to cause the water (& bait) in the livewell to sloush out. I keep it around 3/4 full, not too much water. Anyone done anything with hasps or latches, etc. to fix this problem. Last time I posted a question it was regarding cracks in the tower. The answer i got was "slow down". Is this the same fix?

what year is your boat?

The hatch was re designed in 03 or 04 to a center hatch design because of this problem. I dont have a 28 so I cant help you with a fix.

There are two different options for the live well - a butterfly hatch which is secured in the middle and both ends are hinged and open and another type of hatch that is secured all around and has a center "hatch" that opens. I originally had the second type of hatch which Mac installs for all of those who utilize the livewell as a livewell since it is secured on the top and retains all of the water - I then ordered and installed a butterfly hatch, since I typicall utilize it as a transom fish box. If you're interested, I still have the other hatch in my basement.

Thanks for the replys. Boat is a 95 model. I have (2) doors, hinged in the center, opens from sides. Capt B., is this the "extra" one you have in the basement? Also, encountered a new problem July 4th, will start a new thread on that one.
