I'm wondering if anyone has a pic they could post of the new seating option I've noticed on MAC's website for the CC 28. If you check out his site, you will notice that the 28 main page has a thumbnail showing (look closely) the larger tackle center we've all seen - but when you click on the thumbnail the enlarged pic is different AND seems to show a new bait and rigging station that doubles as added seating. I'm wondering what this looks like from the helm station looking back. Is it an L seat that wraps around the corner or is it just a cushion top seat?

I don't have a picture but the seating is similar to the port side seating for the 32. a single chair up front and a 2 person bench behind it. the tackle station is behind the bench or under it. I haven't seen any sort of L seating on the 28. hope this is of some help. while we are at it do you know what the 06 diesel motor options are for the 28?

Thank you doeboy. I'm not current on the 2006 engine options for the 28. Best bet would be to ask the factory to fax you their price sheet. When I bought my 28 they had a price list that covered all the various options including engine selection.

Steve, I thought that you wanted to move to a 32, not another 28?

Tom:

I do dream of a 32. Would love to move up there one day.

Not thinking of another 28 - just thought I might like switching my seating to what I saw on Mac's site.

I don't think you can change the seating. I think the helm deck is a little longer and that seat/ tackle station is moulded into the deck. Not an add on unless you can change the whole deck.

When I talked to Mac about the layout he said sales really went up because of the change. I also think he is sold out on all the models through the end of the year.

the new seating is nice for the 28. I saw a couple talking to one of Mac's sons at the Miami show and I think they were interested in finding out if their boat's seating could be changed to the new setup. I believe it could not be easily done but I didn't listen to the entire conversation. you sure could ask Mac though.
