Shurflo pump!

I reinstalled my livewell pump and the motor runs but does not pump water. I checked the intake, all is clear. Tried to prime by sucking on the hose while the pump was running, still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Here are a few thoughts. Most are painfully obvious - please don't take offence.

If you briefly open your seacock with the pump out of line do you get water flowing in?

Pump inlet/outlet connections reversed?

Valve at livewell closed?

Not sure why your pump was being REinstalled - might it be damaged?

Can you test the pump outside the boat? ie try to draw water up from a bucket.

Covered all of those except "bench testing" I was trying to not have to take it out.
