Anyone have experience with the Navman 3200 diesel flow meters?

I had the flowscan on my shammy and was happy with it. It was the 7000 series that was all digital. If I was going to do it all over, I would use the 9000 series with the gps interface to find the best cruise speed.
I don't have any experience with navman but a lot of people are happy with them.

Brian, Have you looked into the floscan twinscan units. I was going to put that one in the new boat but I do not need it with the electronic engines.
I think they have the gps interface. Might be wrong .

I had a Navman combo unit (Flow meter/FF) on my previous boat and could never get it right. Installed a floscan twinscan in my CC28 last season and love it. It is acccurate to witin +/-3% and usually within a gallon or 2 on over 200 burned. Both installations are gas.

I'm under the impression the Navman's are much less expensive than the floscans. I had a floscan that I installed on the Shamrock, and it was reliable, but I've heard a lot of good things about the Navman.

Anyone have any feedback about the new series K diesel Floscans? Price, ease of install?

I have never heard of that one. What is different about them?

The advertisments say "more precise diesel fuel management" and much easier installation compared to the older diesel floscans.
Unfortunately, I don't know much about the old style, or new series K.
I would consider installing the system if the cost is not outrageous.

I'm going to consumers electronics sat morning to order the electronics for my new boat. If I remember, I will ask about them. Don't count on it though because I suffer from C.R.A.F.T.

Like I said, I suffer from C.R.A.F.T. I remembered to ask them when I was half way home. Sorry

I spoke with a local marine electronics dealer in Cape Canaveral Florida and they said that there were too many problems with the 3200 and discontinued carrying it. I had an outboard driven boat before my CC28 with a NavMan 3100 and it worked fine.
Have you finished the installation of the NavMan on your boat and how does it work? Trying to make a decision to buy something soon for mine as well. Thanks.
