Anyone out there have this unit? I am thinking about it paired with the 1KW in hull transducer.
Thanks
Steve

I have had that unit for two years now and I think it the best sounder that I have ever owned. However the temperature sensor in the transducer did stop working at the end of last season. I called the company that did the install for me and said that it’s the first one they have installed that has had this problem. Even with this problem I would not hesitate to install this unit on my next boat.

I appreciate the quick feedback. What transducer did you guys install?

I am looking at the M260.

I used the Furuno/Airmar 525T-bhd 1kw thruhull transducer. I will attach photos of the mount.

Mine has an M260 in hull transducer. Called gemeco today and they have a transon mount temp harness for $45. It will be here tomorrow.

Siwicki - I have the 585 in my boat and love it so far, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I really like the auto gain modes, makes it easy.

Those walleye marks look pretty good. any gps coords? You still at sawmill?

I looked into installing that unit on my boat but just couldn't find a location that I was happy with. I found a closeout deal on the raymarine ds600x that easily fits into my electronic box.

My boat is now loaded and ready to fish. I just may have to get out there this friday.

NIce. Not at sawmill any more, off to rocky river for the season. Those marks were between the huron river and vermillion. It was really muddy water and I had no takers, alhough I discovered I wasted about an hour on one side tangled :(

I appreciate the coments on this finder. I am still leaning towards purchasing it within a few months. I got delayed due to about $2K of investments in my engines. This being the 2nd year of owning the boat, I am finding more "optional, but needed things" to have done to properly maintain the engines and ensure safety of the vessel.

CAPTHORACE,
How did the temperature harness work out? I would do the same.

Thanks
Steve

I have not had a chance to install the temp sensor. I was diagonised with melanoma cancer in my right foot. Surgery has taken place and I am recovering. Hopefully I will be able to get back to doing things, but it's slow going. Now they want to cut some more, seems like they were at minumins. TIME FOR A SECOND OPINION.

I just installed the 585 with airmar b164 and it is awesome but have only used at depths of about 60 feet so far. When the weather breaks I will be on the deep drop and with what I have seen so far I expect great things.

You will be more than pleased with this unit!

Hawk,

I am looking at installing a 1K transducer like yours on my 28CC. Where does the transducer shaft come out in your installation? Does it work good where you installed it?

Thanks,
-Howard
