I saw someone on here a while back had moved some gauges around on their cc25 and installed a large sounder or other display in the center of the dash where the tach is. can anyone point me to the pictures?

I asked the factory to leave room for a display (for possible future expansion).

Depth of a display mounted in this position could be an issue. Might have to cut some fiberglass that is behind the hinged portion of the helm and take up a small portion of the cabin locker's interior (hope that makes sense) to mount a deeper display.

Here is a link to the changes i made on my 25. On the upper left insterment pod, i now have a Navman fuel metrer which is not shown in these pictures. http://carolinaclassicboatowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1055

RECEIVED MY NEW CC25 LAST MONTH. SEE THE ENCLOSED PICTURES WHICH I HOPE WILL HELP. FOR ME, IT WAS ALL ABOUT HAVING ENOUGH SCREENS AND SIZE OF SCREENS. THE DEALER INSTALLED THE ELECTRONICS. THERE WERE A FEW SURPRISES TO BE SURE. FOR ONE THING, THE DEALER (SOUTH SHORE MARINE) FAILED TO CONSIDER THE DEPTH OF THE EQUIPMENT. THEY REMOVED THE COMPASS AND TOTALLY FILLED IN THE DASH (GLASS). THE TEN INCH SCREEN EXCEEDED THE SIZE OF ONE PANEL, BUT FIT NICELY WITH THE FISH FINDER. THE CENTER SCREEN NEEDED TO BE MOUNTED ON AN ANGLE (FOR EASIER VISIBILITY) AND WAS ACCOMPLISHED BY USING A LITTLE VARNISHED TEAK. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I STILL NEED TO FIND A "REAL COMPASS" AS A BACK-UP AND MOUNT IT, BUT THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM.

FOR YOU CC25 OWNERS LIKE ME WITH A LITTLE LESS FLEXIBILITY CHECK THE HATCH. I ORDERED THE BOAT WITH A FOUR INCH WIDER AND TWO INCH DEEPER OPENING. IT SHOWED UP WITHOUT BEING TWO INCHES DEEPER AND ONLY THREE INCHES WIDER. BUT, WE ARE MAKING THE BEST OF IT. NOTE THAT WE ADDED A BLOCK TO THE HATCH LIFTING BRACKETS WHICH HOLD THE HATCH HIGHER TO THE WINDSHIELD THUS PROVIDING MORE HEAD SPACE FOR GETTING IN AND OUT. IT IS A WORTHWHILE IMPROVEMENT WHICH ANYONE CAN DO. I WISH THAT THE OPENING HAD BEEN DONE TO THE SIZE THAT I ORDERED, AS I PLANNED TO USE THE BLOCKS ALL ALONG TO MAXIMIZE THE OPENING SIZE.

NOW AS COMPUTER CHALLENGED, I WILL ATTEMPT TO ATTACH THE PICS. IF THEY DON'T SHOW UP, FEEL FREE TO SEND ME AN E-MAIL (I KNOW HOW TO SEND THEM)...WWW.TOM02W@AOL.COM.
