I took my newly purchused CC25 out yesterday, and while fishing all of my electronics started complaining about low voltage and shutting down. I don't have an owners manual, but I have been told that the parallel switch has something to do with charging. It is a momentary on switch, so I am not sure how it works. Does it set a relay after the engine is running and disengage it on power off? Engine battery was fine and eletronics seemed to work OK while running.

Your "house" battery is dead. My 28 has three batteries......two for starting the engines and one "house" battery to run everything else. I assume that your 25 has a designated house battery as well. The parrallel switch momentarily links all three batteries to be used for any purpose.

The electronics pull from the house battery when the engines are off.

even though the battery is new it could be a bad one. put it on a battery charger and see if it will take and hold a charge.....i had a brand new one that was bad...bob

The boat is not new, it is a 1997 repowered in 2003 so the batteries are proboably going on 5 years. If the parallel switch only makes momentary connection, how is the house battery recharged?
Is there a manual available that describes the boat wiring?

Thanks for your help
Bob

I have a schematic for a 28, but I can't post it. PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

If you have a built in battery charger (I think standard on a 28 but not sure on a 25), it will automatically charge as necessary if you are plugged in at the dock and have the battery switch flipped on at the control panel in the cabin.

I have found that once the house battery is dead, you are better off pulling it out and charging on a separate charger in your garage. The on-board charger doesn't seem to have enough power for a dead battery.

I had same problem as you a few weeks ago and did as I described with no problems since.
